When you think of southern California, you probably don’t think of tornadoes. While anything is possible, not everything is probable. While we have had a few tornadoes over the years, they are peanuts compared to the Midwest’s “tornado alley”.

Granted, we definitely get high winds that cause a lot of headaches. In November of 2019, the city of Hesperia experienced high winds that toppled street signs and mailboxes, amongst other things. Winds like this often affect the more wide open areas, like Fontana, Rialto, and much of the high desert.

While high winds don’t strike fear into the hearts of people like a spinning mountain of debris and terror, the effects can be much the same. High winds throw rocks and debris through windows, damage roofs, and can even flip cars over.
